Springtime Activities

Spring is in the Air

(and a lot of pollen)

March, April, and May have been filled with the usual Springtime events:  Spring Break Beach Trip, Easter, Mother's Day, Birthdays, and Memorial Day!

Spring Break was our yearly trip to Orange Beach with Poppy and his baseball team.
There was a lot of baseball, but not a lot of beach because it was very cold and windy.  But we still had a great time!

Making the trip down

Eating your waffle and watching Dinosaur Train

All bundled up to play in the sand

Ready to watch some baseball!

Tired of taking pictures at this point.

He was happy once he got to play baseball with Poppy

The Easter Bunny brought you your first baseball glove!

Easter Egg Hunt on the farm

Snapped a picture of my first born child. . . . the hairy one :)

We had our first trip to the Circus!  Fun fact, the last time mommy went to the Circus was with Daddy when we were about the age of 3.  :)

This picture was a before and after.  You had asked to watch TV (first picture) all sweet and trying to butter me up.  Mommy's response was no, your response (second picture) was a very dramatic one.

Mother's Day at Mike and Janice's

Family Pic at the Rodeo with our little Cowboy

At the Hands on Trucks event

First days of summer at the pool....just a little potty training :)

We went to Build-a-Bear with Mollie

Exciting news, we started potty training!  Updates to come soon....hopefully good ones

 My little buddy!

Favorite things of the day:
-You love to play with big floor puzzles
-You are still obsessed with baseball and can now hit an actual pitch.  Since you can now do this and we were very excited about it, you don't really like to hit off the tee anymore.
-You are still swinging left handed, but are pretty much throwing/eating/coloring right handed.
-Favorite books are the "little critter" series by Meyers.  I recently bought you one entitled "the new baby" and "the new potty" in hopes to get you ready for your new brother/sister and ready for potty training this summer.
-Food likes/dislikes have not changed.  So in other words you are still extremely picky.  (much like your father and mother were so there is no hope)
-New favorite show is Dinosaur Train on PBS.   You love to sing the intro song, but only know the ending.  "Dinosaur Traaaiiiin, Dinosaur Traaaiiiin, ride ride ride ride riiiiiddeeee, the Dinosaur Train!"
-The other day you were watching Finding Nemo and I overheard you quoting the movie.   Specifically the "he touched the butt" part and Bruce the shark.
-You still love school and had your last day mid-May.  I dropped you off in class and it was music time.  You ran up and requested the Freeze song, and you were so cute with all your friend.  :)

Funny stories/sayings:
-"I smell like hamburgers!"  (don't really know where you got this, but I was rolling the first time you said it)
-You wrap up a book and in the shape of a telescope and say "it's a taco!!"
-The usual bedtime routine consists of a bath, p.j.'s, singing some songs, playing/wrestling on mommy and daddy's bed, reading of books, and nightly prayers.  On this one particular night, we were snuggling in the big bed and you were being very affectionate with me.  Matt asked if he could snuggle with Mommy too, and your reply was giving Matt the stiff are and saying "No daddy, you go snuggle with that pillow over there."  This was quite humorous to me. :)
-Much like the above story (except reverse roles) you normally only want daddy to read you books at night.  In fact, a couple of times I have asked to read you books and your reply was "You can stay here mommy.  Daddy will read me books."
-You tell us when your ready to go home or ready to go to bed.  You love your sleep and so does Mommy :)
