Kaden 2 Months
Age: 2 Months
Milestones: SLEEP. By the end of the month you were sleeping on average from 10pm-8am
Best Moment:
All moments are good, but my favorite this month was seeing my
Grandaddy hold you for the first and last time. He passed away on
December 26, but got to hold you a few days before and it was a very
sweet moment for me. He sure did love his great grandsons and we were
very blessed to have him for as long as we did.
Worst Moment: Kaden ran a fever of almost 102 and got a double ear infection.
Weight: 11.13 lbs (in the 45%)
Height: 23.3 inches (in the 75%)
5 Weeks
-During this week the longest you slept at a time was 6 hours, so we're getting close at this point to a full nights sleep (although some consider 6 hours plenty of sleep....I do not)-You laughed out loud for the first time, but it was in your sleep. Still counts right??
-You think you can walk sometimes and you try to stand up when your held. That determination will get you somewhere in life I'm sure.
-At this point in your life your already wearing 3 month clothes because of your torso length. Not so much in the legs because some of the 3-6 month pants make you look like Steve Urkel, but you could probably fit into a 6 month onesie just based on the length of your torso.
-You coo and ooo just like a typical baby would, but especially on your tummy. You love tummy time, but only for about 10 minutes and then you get angry and start eating the blanket underneath you in frustration. If only you could figure out how to roll over that would solve your problem!

-You are the smilingest
thing (I know that's not a word), but really. You'll be up for a 4
o'clock feeding and be just happy as a clam even at 4a.m. So even
though I'm exhausted at that hour I can't help but smile and be thankful
to be up at such an hour because I get quiet time with you.
-You
are starting to love your bouncy seat and talk to the animals. Kipton
loved that seat too, but unfortunately ran out the batteries to play the
music so Kaden hasn't enjoyed that aspect of the chair yet.
#2ndchildproblems
-You like
to sleep on your tummy for naps, but I'm not ready to do that for night
time sleeping until you can roll over on your own.
-This
week you got an ear infection. No bueno. You have had congestion for a
few weeks now because I'm sure big brother brought some cold virus home
from school no doubt. But 1 night Matt said Kaden felt hot and we
checked with an ear thermometer and it said 99. I didn't really trust
that reading so we did the tried-and-true up the booty check and it was
over 101. I panicked at this point and wondered if we needed to take
you to the ER (because this was after 9:00pm) and Matt reassured me
you'd be fine because you were still eating well. So I calmed down (not
really, but I tried) and took you to the doctor the next morning and
Dr. Laue confirmed you had a double ear infection. You acted sick, but
even with all that you still smiled a lot. So the doc hooked you up
with that yummy tasting bubble gum medicine and cured you in a jiffy.

-This week we took a trip
to Nashville and went to the Opryland hotel to see all the Christmas
festivities. Kipton loves going places in Pawpaw's camper (which of
course Kipton calls "my camper"....we had to correct that quickly, so
now it's Pawpaws and my camper). The trip went great, but I think
Kipton picked up another cold because when we got back he got an ear
infection. Double whammy right before Christmas! But we conquered it
and everyone felt better by Christmas morning.
-At
this point your not spitting up as much and sometimes even burp
yourself, which is quite humorous. Marmie compared you to Jabba the
Hut....but your much cuter than him I promise.
-You
have quite the personality and are starting to have conversations with
us. Normally the converstation only consists of the words "oh" and
"ooh". But we're getting there. You absolutely crave attention and
sometimes notice when your the only one in the room and start crying
when you realize everyone has left you. But as soon as we come back in
your fine. Such a needy little child ;)
-It's absolutely adorable when you get so tickled that you gasp in laughter. So cute.
-This week you ate at 9 and then didn't get up until 4am!
-You
also went to Sunday church for the first time this week. You did so
good! Slept through the first part of the service and then ate at 10:00
and left enough time for mommy to go enjoy class later.

-We are starting to notice
your temper more now. You go from 0-10 very quickly. There is
absolutely no pacifying you when you wake up and your hungry. You
expect to eat at the exact moment you deem necessary and make sure
everyone knows it with your lungs. With that said, once you have been
fed you are all smiles.
-You smile so easily and love for people to talk/pay attention to you.
-Your
going to be like your brother in the fact that you will suck your
thumb. You've starting sucking your hand whenever you don't have your
paci in. The only difference is you favor your right hand, whereas
Kipton sucks his left thumb.
-You
laughed out loud for the first time (I would say it was more of a
chuckle). Christine was holding you and talking to you and your were
smiling your sweet smile and gave us a few chuckles. So sweet.
-This
week you slept through the night! (10:20-7:00) So awesome because I
love sleep. Hopefully this is a trend you will continue.
-We
went to a Robin and A's wedding this week in Anniston for your first
big car ride (the camper doesn't count because it's so spacious). ;)
