19-22 Months
Springtime & Summertime Fun
So I am WAY behind on the blog. Let's be honest, it had to happen sometime. :)
So here is what we were up to this spring and summer and what I can recall from memory and from my scratch notes.
-You are repeating words very well at this point and can say a lot.
-You say "nope" a lot now instead of no.
-You can say everyone's name in the family except Grammy, and you say "Mar Mar" instead of Marmie.
-New and favorite words these months are Hammer, Hobbs, Sophie, bull dozer, and you said War Eagle for the first time, followed by a emphatic "Hey!" This makes mommy and daddy very proud. :)
-You love choo-choo trains and we visited the Train Depot quite often this summer with Mollie.
-Your newest phrases is "come on", such as "Mommy come on!"
-Your favorite movie is Nemo and we watch it ALL the time
-You LOVE LOVE LOVE Mickey Mouse clubhouse and ask to watch it often. You like to play on mommy and daddy's bed.
-You love to make all kinds of animal noises. Your favorites are a Tiger, Elephant, and a cow.
-You still love to go to bible class and sing church songs now like Jesus loves me, which you just simply call "Jesus".
-You love to pray before bedtime and pray for very random things such as your Tiger, the grass, the cows, the dirt.... You also pray for specific people in our family.
-Your favorite thing to eat besides chicken is hotdogs. You have become a very picky eater, which I knew had to be happening soon.
This spring, Matt and I took you on your first trip to our alma mater, Auburn University for the A-day game. Unfortunately, you were sick, but we didn't realize that until we got down there. you had diarrhea all day but still enjoyed the football game. And on the way home we stopped at Jack's to eat dinner and you threw up in your highchair. It sure was an eventful day, but a good memory none the less.
This summer was filled with a lot of play time outside and at Early Works museum. We got a blow up Zebra pool and that was really entertaining for you.
We went on a lot of dates with Mollie and Christine. Your favorite thing to do was go fishing at early works museum and to play with the dump trucks. We also went out to play at the botanical gardens a few times in our bathing suites. We also visited the train depot quite a few times and played on the choo-choo trains and old cars.
Chick-fil-a was a favorite for lunch this summer and you love to eat chicken, fries, and after you saw Mollie eating ice cream you decided you would try it, and you love it now!
We also went on a trip to Atlanta with Poppy, Marmie, and Uncle Matthew to see the Braves play. We got to go to the Atlanta Zoo and see all the animals as well. Your favorite part was probably riding the carousal.
We also went to the beach and you loved playing in the sand. We filled up a kiddie pool with ocean water, gave you some buckets and shovels and you would play for hours. Mommy loves this because it gave her time to relax on the beach. :)
You took swimming lessons this summer with mommy when you were 21 months old. You loved swimming and mastered everything except blowing bubbles in the water. You jumped in off the side, swam to the edge, swam on your back, let me dunk you under water, and pulled yourself out of the water! All great things, but you just couldn't get over the fear of sticking your face in the water to blow bubbles.
You also saw your first movie this summer with mommy and daddy. We saw Despicable Me 2 and you sat through the whole thing!
I have so many fun memories with you this summer and am so thankful to be able to have the summer's off to enjoy them with you.
