16-18 Months
18 Month Pic
Things you've been up to these past few months:
-Your favorite things to play with at this age were your tractors and cars, lawn mower, anything that has a long stick like a broom, umbrella, cane. Your favorite thing to do though is play outside. I'm convinced you would stay there forever if we let you.
-You still love books and have a few favorites every week but have a good variety. You favorite book at night to read is "Goodnight Moon" and "I know a Rhino". You are interested in balls again and love to throw them. You can point to almost any animal in a book, but we are still working on you saying the names and sound.
-Things you are saying now: mama, dada, dede (for "Dixie"), lele (for "Lexi"), ball, diaper, titer (for your favorite stuffed animal "Mr. Tiger"), bye bye, PawPaw, Poppy, football, tractor. These are the only words we can understand the meaning, but you speak your own language at this point. :) Your favorite phrases these past few months have been tow tow, bebe, and powpow....not sure what they mean though.
-You had tubes put in your ears on March 11th because you had about 4 ear infections during January and February. You have been a new little boy since you got them and your personality has really started to shine.
-Your canine teeth came in.
-We went to the beach during Spring Break but it was too cold to play outside most of the time. But we still had fun!
-You love to go to bible class at church and sing all the songs! You even know how to get to your class by yourself. :)
-Food lately has still been a struggle with solid fruits and veggies. You'll still eat those pureed but whole. You will eat Broccoli, but won't touch any other fruit or veggie unless it comes from a jar. You will eat any meat we put in front of you and crackers and bread. We are working on it though!
